UPDATE: 1/31/17–This website serves as an archive of Project LionPATH activities, which occurred over the duration of the project. As of January 31, 2017, the project phase of LionPATH is complete.
For the most current updates and information on LionPATH, please visit the LionPATH production support website.
Project LionPATH was the multi-year initiative to replace Penn State’s existing student information system.
The previous system (called ISIS) managed admissions applications, billing and accounts, financial aid awarding, course scheduling, transcripts, and advising records for Penn State students. It is also was backbone of eLion — Penn State’s web-based access for students, faculty, and staff.
The upgrade to a vendor-provided system allowed Penn State to better support undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, as well as faculty and staff, at all University locations.
A phased roll-out of the new system began in fall 2015 and was completed on January 31, 2017. LionPATH has now transitioned from project phase and a permanent LionPATH Development and Maintenance Organization (LDMO) has been formed. The LDMO will focus on enhancements and stabilization of existing functionality, while working in close collaboration with home offices to ensure that there is a systematic approach to supporting LionPATH.
