Student Academic Data Sync Alert
UPDATE 7/20/16: The sync process will be extended for July 23-24, 2016. Students will be unable to access LionPATH from 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 23 until noon on Sunday, July 24. The normal sync process will resume the following weekend.
Every Saturday from 10:00 p.m. until noon on Sunday, LionPATH will be unavailable to students so that academic data can be synced from ISIS to LionPATH. Students will be unable to access both the desktop and mobile version of the system during this time. Staff will NOT be shut out of LionPATH; however, we request that staff members do not update student records during this time, as the changes may be overwritten by the sync process. This sync process will happen every weekend until the week before classes begin.
If you have any questions regarding the sync, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are having issues with the LionPATH system, please visit the LionPATH production support website.
Project LionPATH is the multi-year initiative to replace Penn State’s existing student information system.
The existing system (called ISIS) manages admissions applications, billing and accounts, financial aid awarding, course scheduling, transcripts, and advising records for Penn State students. It is also the backbone of eLion — Penn State’s web-based access for students, faculty, and staff.
The upgrade to a vendor-provided system will allow Penn State to better support undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, as well as faculty and staff, at all University locations.
Current features will be improved, and additional capabilities, process improvements, and internal efficiencies will be integrated.
A phased roll-out of the new system is expected to begin in fall 2015 and be completed in fall 2016.
Project LionPATH is vital to the future success of Penn State.
